From Cleaning Brand to Pioneer in Smart Manufacturing
Founded in 1978, Mao Bao has served Taiwan’s cleaning product market for over 47 years. With its strong research expertise, rigorous manufacturing processes, and diversified brand strategy, the company has maintained a leading position among consumers. In recent years, Mau Bao has embraced a forward-looking approach to digitalization and smart management, driving innovation across product development, production optimization, and customer service. Through its Intelligent Manufacturing Upgrade Initiative, Mao Bao has successfully transformed from a traditional manufacturer into a data-driven, AI-empowered smart factory.
At the core of this initiative is data-driven decision-making. Through AIoT production line connectivity and MES optimization, the company has deployed sensors and tablet devices to enable real-time production feedback—making productivity, yield rates, and anomalies transparent at a glance. Automated work-order scheduling has replaced manual planning, greatly enhancing operational visibility and flexibility. In addition, Mao Bao has implemented RPA to automate order processing, shortage alerts, and production line notifications. These updates are integrated across systems and synchronized through LINE Bot and command center dashboards, enabling faster management responses and more efficient decision-making.
Beyond manufacturing upgrades, Mao Bao is also advancing its green transformation, installing solar panels to significantly reduce carbon emissions and energy consumption—embedding ESG principles into the company’s long-term strategic framework.
Mao Bao’s General Manager, Eric Chen, stated:
“Digital transformation is not simply about adopting new technologies—it is a comprehensive upgrade of culture, processes, and talent. Being the first in the household cleaning industry to fully implement smart manufacturing and AI applications—and receiving the prestigious DINGGE Award—is a testament to the collective efforts of our entire team. Moving forward, we will continue to place data at the core of our operations and uphold our ESG commitments, becoming the most trusted partner in protecting both consumer homes and the environment.”
